This June, photographers Sue and Alberto have de-camped to the beautiful Lamorna Cove in far west Cornwall to run a beginners course, which will include one to one individual tuition on your own camera (anything from small digitals to digital SLR’s) to teach you how to switch off the automatic and get familiar with all those functions you never knew existed or were to afraid to use.

Alberto’s technical expertise will soon get you familiar with all the features of your own camera and once confident with what its capable of, Sue, who is an acclaimed Fine Arts photographer will guide you in capturing the rugged beauty of this far flung outpost, once home to the London Bohemian Art set.

Your home for the 3 days (or 5 days if you wish to add on the weekend at a discounted price) is one of Cornwalls finest boutique apartment hotels, The Cove. 15 individually designed luxury apartments, nestle together around a heated outdoor pool, in 4 acres of tropical gardens, with stunning views of Lamorna Cove.

If your food is as important as your aperture setting, don’t panic as you’re in for a treat!
Our chef has devised a special menu for the 3 days, giving you the chance to sample all the fresh local ingredients, including its renowned sea-food from Newlyn fish market (special dietary requirements can be catered for). Hot croissants and pastries will be delivered to your door each morning and you will have a welcome pack on arrival, including bread, tea, coffee etc.

The course is intended to be fun, informative and a chance to get to photograph the stunning scenery of this far outpost of the UK, with the help of your very own expert. For those of you who wish to come with non-participating partners, there is a whole variety of activities The Cove can arrange, from surfing, walking, sailing or just relaxing by our pool. If you would prefer to just relax, we can organise a whole rangs of holistic therapies in the comfort of your own room and we have even thrown in a healthy discount if you wish to extend your stay into the weekend.
