PHOTOGRAPHIC HOLIDAY IN THE PUEBLOS BLANCOS, Andalucia
Duration: Five day, six night course
Sitting at the edge of one of the worlds largest cork forest, surrounded by the magic
of the white villages with castles and ruins dating back to Roman and Moorish times, cave paintings to Phoenician days, lies Jimena de la Frontera your home for the week. This workshop will take you to some of the most beautiful unspoilt natural areas and photogenic pueblos blancos and teach you how to best express what
you are seeing and feeling. Your will be staying in your own private suite in Sue and Alberto's Andalucian home (an old Court House), where they will welcome you with their unrivalled hospitality and introduce you to the flavours and culture of the area.

ITINERARY & CALENDER OF EVENTS
Arrival Day
Pick up from Gibralter Airport at 7.30pm. Welcome drinks and dinner
DAY 1
Introduction
and discussion of each participants expectations. Taste of life in a Pueblo Blanco, its streets, its people and the historic castle followed by a traditional Spainish lunch in the courtyard. Discovering the Rio Hozgarganta one of the few remaining undammed rivers in Andalucia. Dinner and discussion of the days photography.
DAY 2
A day full of photographic possibilities in the historic town of Ronda. Built on an escarpment with views of the surrounding mountains you will live the atmosphere of this most Spanish of towns. Its historic centre is full of architectual gems crowned by the oldest Bullring in Spain. Lunch in a traditional local Tapas bar. Return to Jimena via the very scenic train ride down through the Jimena valley, along Mr. Henderson railway, the British engineer responsible for the construction of the Ronda-Algeciras line which was once know as the Smugglers Express. Review session. Dinner and discussion about the days activities.
DAY 3
The old fishing town of Tarifa, just 11 km across the Straits of Gibraltar at its narrowest point, this southern-most tip of Europe where the Meditteranean meets the Atlantic Ocean, enjoys spectacular views of the Rif mountains of Africa across the water, provides the backdrop for an incredible day of shooting by the sea. Dinner and review session.
DAY 4
Route of the Pueblos Blancos, an absorbing circuit taking in the incredibly diverse mountain ranges and the striking villages of the area.
DAY 5
Morning shoot in the Alcornocales Natural Park. Production of a fine print in
the darkroom for those shooting B&W or in colour for those shooting digital.
Final review session and evaluation of prints.
An exotic Farewell dinner.
