Come and master your digital camera in the un-paralled beauty of the white village of Jimena de la Frontera, located in the Alcornocales Natural Park, the largest cork forest in the Iberian Peninsula. Alberto will take you through the process of understanding and using your camera controls to take the photographs that you want. Sue will introduce you to the basic concepts of composition and the art of “seeing” and “feeling” a good photograph. The course is structured around lectures and practical assignments in a relaxed and informal atmosphere in their wonderful 18 Century Casa Señorial.

This course is aimed at complete beginners through to those with just a little photography experience although more advanced photography enthusiasts can be catered for. The very small groups allows you to receive as much one on one tuition as needed and ensures you get the most from your experience.

Friday - Arrival day and airport pick up (from Gibraltar on stated fights) .
Settle into your accomodation and enjoy a welcome dinner accompanied by wine.

Saturday – Getting to know your camera

After breakfast the morning session will be spent learning about your cameras controls
using a hands on approach and a variety of examples and practical exercises.
We will cover camera modes and when to use them, exposure modes, white balance, ISO, focusing modes, etc in the field under live conditions.
Lunch will be enjoyed in the courtyard after which Sue will cover the diferent aspects of composition taking in the beauty of the village, its people and the landscape.
Depending on the time of year after dinner there will be the oportunity to participate in a night shoot in the beautiful surrounds of the cork forrest.

Sunday – Creating great images

After an early morning shoot up at the castle there will be a wonderful Sunday brunch.
A review of the weekend's shooting and a discussion session will leed us after a quick lunch into the basics of downloading and an introduction to image processing software such as Picasa and photoshop elements.
Late afternoon, you’ll collect your bags ready for your flight home (extra nights accomodation are available). Transfers to Gibraltar airport for afternoon/evening flight.
