This is an intensive hands on 3 days aimed at those wanting to master the technical and creative side of their digital SLR. The course will also introduce participants to post-production in the digital darkroom along with downloading and editing. The very small group allows you to receive as much one on one tuition as needed and ensures you get
the most from your experience.

The workshop is held in the beautiful white village of Jimena de la Frontera in southern Andalucia. Your tutors and hosts Sue and Alberto will be on hand at all times. You will
not only learn the fundamentals of digital photography but also enjoy the warm hospitality, the food, the wine and the wonderful area.

The following itinerary is for guidance only and may change due to weather, etc...

Thursday - Arrival day and airport pick up (from Gibraltar on stated fights) .
Settle into your accomodation and enjoy a welcome dinner accompanied by wine.


Friday - take control of your DSLR

Friday will be spent discovering what all the features and functions actually do and when
it is best to use them. A hands on approach and a variety of examples and practical exercises will help you with the finer details of using your DSLR.

Depending on the time of year after dinner there will be the oportunity to participate in a night shoot in the beautiful surrounds of the cork forest.


Saturday - putting it all into practice

We will head off for a days shooting to the straits of Gibraltar, combining landscape and street photography, visiting along the way the old fishing port of Tariffa, the sand dunes of Punta Paloma and the deserted beaches of this part of the Atlantic coast line.

After a wonderful dinner back at the Casa there will be a review and discussion session.

Sunday - the digital darkroom

Following an early morning shoot up at Jimena's 13 century moorish castle there will be a wonderful Sunday brunch. This will lead us into the digital darkroom where you will be introduced to downloading, picture editing and retouching using the image processing software, adobe photoshop.

Late afternoon, you’ll collect your bags ready for your flight home. Transfers to Gibraltar airport for afternoon/evening flight or if you prefer to stay on this can also be arranged.
