Duration: Two day course: 10.00am - 6.00pm

This course is the first part of two classes designed for intermediate
to advanced photographers who wish to master the technical aspects and
artisitc possibilities that can be achieved when making a silver gelatin fibre
based expressive print. These courses are very practical and structured to
establish habits which will enable you to move unerringly towards the best
expression of your photograph. This first class will enable you to do this
with all but the most difficult of negatives.

EXPRESSIVE BLACK & WHITE PRINTING - PART 2

Duration: Two day course: 10.00am - 6.00pm

This will extend your capabilities in two ways. First it will enable you
to refine your photographs to fully express your intent and secondly to handle negatives that are extremely difficult yet ‘worth the extra effort’ that they take to produce their total expression in print form. You will be introduced to printing with two or more filters and to the subtle use of bleaching, both overall and selectively, combined with an equally subtle use of toning techniques. These can often
provide the hook that invites deeper inspection on the part of the viewer.
We finish with the art of presentation.
